                                                                      Charlotte
Toia

This afternoon we started Tinker time in Room 24. We had to read a diagram and make the model using the Brain Box Electronic Sets. We all enjoyed the cool air made by the rotating fan. We were all great at figuring it out by giving it a go and persevering.

                                                                            Peter
                                                                          Jade

                                                                          Emily
Today with our buddy class we made Fortune Tellers. We folded a square piece of paper and our buddies wrote in "Build Ups" such as Crazy Cool, You Rock!

Emily on her 6th Birthday
This week Room 24 have been looking at a range of feelings: happy, sad, cross, worried, tired, surprised and confused.  We choose a colour that we thought matched the feeling. Mrs McGowan put them together as a fan for us.

An old pair of slippers to chew

Alexandra enlisting the help of James for her detailed design

Drake figured out how to put sides on his slippers
                                                                  Aston or Rylee?
                                                               Aayush - job done
                                                          Sonia with her stylish slippers

Mrs Dijkstra read us a story about Arthur an ordinary dog who wanted a home and pair of old slippers to chew. We designed our own pair of slippers using a piece of newsprint and a glue stick. Mrs Dijkstra thinks they were too good to chew!

Cass the Colour Robber 2

Our last two Colour Robber Sticks. Mrs Dijkstra hopes that by the end of the weekend there will be lots of rainbow colours in the homes of Room 24 children.

Cass The Colour Robber

We made our own Colour Robber Sticks and enjoyed zapping with them. Mrs Dijkstra was worried about being zapped of colour and becoming grey.

Cass the Colour Robber

                                                                         Peter
                                                                        Ayyan
                                                                         Charlotte
                                                                             Jade
Mrs Dijkstra read us the story Cass the Colour Robber. As a follow up we drew the main character and sketched our own design for a Colour Robber Stick. Lastly we illustrated the problem and solution in the story.
